{ September Favorites }

Good morning, everyone! Can you believe it’s already October? It seriously seemed like only yesterday that I was typing up my August Favorites.

{ 1 } Yes, I am that college student. The kind that cannot function properly without a cup of coffee running through my veins. That is, an exaggeration, but you get the picture. I have been loving coffee in the mornings, not just for the caffeine but I just really love the taste. I love coffee. My campus unfortunately doesn’t house a Starbucks, but the instant coffee and the local coffee shop suffices.

{ 2 } It’s finally becoming cooler now, so it’s finally time for me to pull out my sweaters. (The best time to wear a striped sweater…) Haha, if you know where that is from, we are automatically best friends.

{ 3 } Being away from home, I  do experience a bit of homesickness, and I especially miss my baby, Chibi. If only I could smuggle him into the dorms and into my room…

{ 4 } I am in love with this view, and it’s one of my favorite places to relax between classes. Also, I love those Target flats in the picture because I feel so school spirited. Haha.

{ 5 } Google Hangout has been the best way for me to keep in contact with my friends, and it’s seriously one of the most fun ways to video chat with people (hello, mustaches and funny hats). My friends even celebrated with me and sang happy birthday to me. Shout out to my besties! Miss you guys!

{ 6 } September has been a month full of good music (Thanks to my friend, H-Zuni. Haha), but I found myself gravitating towards this song I stumbled upon on Pandora. “Little Lies” by Dave Barnes is such a catchy song, and I’m constantly jamming out while I’m doing my Calculus homework (not a September favorite). Honorable mentions for my music pick this month include “Let Her Go” by Passenger and anything by the Arctic Monkeys.

What are your September Favorites? Tell me in the comments!

Thanks for reading!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Playing with the colors red and green are so hard because you have to be careful not to look like you’re a walking Christmas tree. However, the rich hunter green of my pants and the texture on my belt really play up a seemingly boring outfit. My favorite, easy piece is a button up top, and this button up blouse from Forever 21 does not disappoint. Something about the stars and the classic black and white makes this a great addition to my closet.

Hello, everyone!

It’s slowly starting to cool off here, so it’s socially acceptable for me now to wear my long sleeves and sweaters. (To be honest, I have been wearing long sleeves, but everyone just looked at me like I was crazy.) Exams are currently creeping up on me, so I’ve been holing myself up in every corner trying to prepare. My campus is so nice and spacious that I can find a study place in all the buildings, but I especially love going up to the science building and studying. It’s seriously the best building, and I’m not being biased because I am a science major.

{ Seven Things }

I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by the gorgeous Jessica of Cassica, who has a blog just as lovely as she is. If you haven’t already, check out her blog! Thanks again, Jessica, for nominating me!

Before I nominate fifteen other bloggers, I will tell you all seven random facts about me that you probably didn’t know.

{ 1 } I have an extremely hard time falling asleep. I believe I’ve had this problem since I was younger, but it takes me an abnormal amount of time to fall asleep. I usually end up “going to bed” really early, but I actually fall asleep at a socially acceptable time for a teenager. Haha.

{ 2 } Staying with the sleeping theme, I can actually fall asleep easier in a car than my own bed. How does this make sense? I don’t know.

{ 3 } My parents are the best people in the world, and I will do anything and everything for them. I was extremely homesick because I miss them so much at college. Love you guys!

{ 4 } I dislike the number four because I believe in its unluckiness.

{ 5 } I really hope to make a difference in this world whether it be through research or through volunteer work. I want to leave a mark on history.

{ 6 } Looking back to high school, I realized how lucky I was to have such great, supporting friends and such happy memories. Even now as I type this post, I’m talking to some of my best friends. I really miss y’all. Thanks for reading my blog and snapchatting me. Here’s to our reunions!

{ 7 } I am a major foodie. The question “What is your favorite food?” is seriously one of the hardest questions to answer. I love all food. Except carrots.

Now you know a little bit more about me other than I’m obsessed with polka dots and stripes. Haha. Now time to tag some of my favorite bloggers:

Pink Lace Wings
Be. Get. See.

Class Act

Hello, everyone!

Something about the combination of a sweater and a button down looks so effortlessly chic and so collegiate (how fitting now that I’m actually in college haha). This is just a simple look that is so easy to recreate and can be a great base for more layering (can you tell I’m excited for the temperature to drop?). The addition of the light pink jeans make this look a little more quirky and fun while still looking put together. Now this is my go-to outfit for the fall time.

You know what’s really weird? I feel so much more productive at college than in high school. Maybe it’s the fact that I have more time in the day because I only have a few classes in the mornings, but man, I love it. I’m loving the people I’m meeting in my classes too whether it be my witty professors or the quirky kids I sit next to. I especially love my Chemistry professor who resembles Bob Saget. It just makes class all the more enjoyable.

Button Down: J.Crew

Sweater: Abercrombie & Fitch

Jeans: Delia’s

Shoes: Cole Haan

Fallin’ For You

Good morning, everyone!

Sadly, the weather still isn’t appropriate for wearing thick scarves or coats (oh how I wish for it though), but that doesn’t mean I can’t embrace the season by transitioning some of my summer pieces into the fall/winter months. My cropped Anthropologie top and shorts faired me well into summer, but with the addition of just a denim jacket, scarf, and tights, my go-to summer outfit is transitioned into the colder months.

Top: Anthropologie

Shorts: The Limited

Jacket: J.Crew

Scarf: Love by Moschino

Tights: Target

Shoes: Cole Haan

August Favorites

Hello, everyone! August has been a crazy month for me with my moving away from home and into college, but nonetheless, I have a few honorable favorites that I have been loving throughout this month.

{ 1 } Being away from home is so hard, and one of the worst parts about it is that I do not get my Vietnamese food fix. I have been spoiled all my life with my mom’s cooking, and college cafeteria food just can’t compare (especially the asian food… yuck). It’s so funny because I actually wasn’t a big Vietnamese food lover growing up, but ever since being at college, it’s all I crave. Pictured above is one of my favorites, pho, a Vietnamese noodle soup. Just thinking about it is making me salivate.

{ 2 } It’s been in two outfit posts so far, but I’ve been actually wearing this pleated skirt really often. It’s kind of terrible actually, but I just love how effortless it looks with t-shirts and how expensive it feels when it’s only from Forever 21. Outfits featuring this skirt are here and here.

{ 3 } Last, but certainly not least, I must boast about my dorm room. I’m kind of a hermit crab because I love just staying in and watching movies all day, and my dorm is seriously perfect. It’s so spacious and so comfy that it almost feels like home. Almost. My dad likes to joke that my room is “palace-like” compared to other college campus’ dorm rooms. Almost.

What are your monthly favorites for August?
